Neuron partners with Launch Housing to tell hidden stories of homelessness with urban e-scooter tours!

The guided tour on our e-scooters will visit locations across Melbourne’s CBD to spotlight those hard at work to end homelessness

We are thrilled to partner with Launch Housing, a Melbourne-based specialist homelessness and community housing organisation, for a series of e-scooter guided tours titled ‘Eyes Open Ride: Stories from the Streets’ over the Open House Melbourne weekend from 27 to 28 July. It aims to highlight the issue of homelessness in the city, and is an extension of the Melbourne Zero movement, which aims to end rough sleeping by 2030.

The unique hour-long tour will visit often-overlooked locations across Melbourne’s CBD while riding on Neuron’s distinctive orange e-scooters. Guided by Launch Housing’s wonderful team, participants will have the opportunity to hear from them and also supporting organisations like Youth Projects, The Big Issue, and the City Library, to learn about the role they are all playing to help eradicate homelessness in Melbourne.

The ‘Eyes Open Ride’ tour allows riders to see the city from a new perspective. It aims to foster greater empathy towards people experiencing homelessness while encouraging the community to learn more about its underlying causes.

Neuron is committed to continuing our support for Launch Housing in making Melbourne a liveable city for all. This includes providing free e-scooter trips for outreach efforts by case workers and staff, as well as raising funds and awareness for the cause, and more. As proud members of Melbourne Zero, it is important for us to invest in meaningful partnerships to create a positive impact on the communities we serve.
