Neuron partners RNIB in the UK for Student ScootSafe™ Campaign this Freshers Week!

Join us at Freshers Fairs in Newcastle and Sunderland to learn safety tips and earn credits for future rides

Calling all freshers and returning students! In partnership with The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), Neuron’s Student ScootSafe™ Campaign is returning to the UK to promote safer streets as students are back for their academic year. Join us at a local university’s Freshers Fair to get some safety and responsible riding tips.

During Freshers Week, Neuron’s Safety Ambassadors will be heading to Northumbria University, the University of Sunderland, and Newcastle University. They will also be out and about during this period to ensure that new students, who may be less familiar with the riding rules, ride safely.

Completing a safety briefing will help students become familiar with local riding rules and the safety features on Neuron’s e-scooters, while also earning them a discount on their next ride. We will also be offering Student Passes at 20% off for Weekly and Monthly passes for users who verify their university email addresses on the Neuron app.

At the University of Sunderland, students will get to try riding the e-scooters on a safety training track. RNIB will also be there and students will have the opportunity to try on glasses that simulate sight loss to gain a better understanding of how people with visual impairments experience the world around them.

For those who didn’t manage to catch us during the fairs, they can head over to Neuron’s online ScootSafe Academy and earn up to £5.50 in free credits by doing quizzes, playing games and watching educational videos.

Good luck in the upcoming academic year, and remember to #ScootSafe!
